Please understand the terms and conditions prior to making an appointment with Makeup by Kanika Dua

Thank you for choosing Makeup by Kanika Dua for your beauty services. By booking a consultation, freelance service, or any makeup appointment, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms.

1. General Terms

  • These Terms and Conditions apply to all services provided by Makeup by Kanika Dua.

  • By booking a consultation, freelancing booking, or any makeup appointment, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age or have the consent of a parent/guardian.

  • Makeup by Kanika Dua reserves the right to update or modify these Terms at any time without prior notice.

2. Consultation Services

  • A consultation may be booked to discuss your makeup needs, desired looks, and specific requirements. First consultation is complimentary.

  • Consultation appointments are generally 30-60 minutes long, depending on your requirements. 2.3. Virtual or In-Person: Consultations can be conducted either virtually (via video call) or in-person at a location specified by Makeupby Kanika Dua.

3. Booking & Deposits

  • Booking Process: All bookings must be made via the website or by direct contact through email or phone

  • Deposit Requirement: A non-refundable deposit of 50% of the total service cost is required to confirm and secure your appointment. The deposit must be paid within 48 hours of booking to reserve your slot.

  • Balance Payment: The remaining balance of the service fee is due on the day of the appointment, before services are provided.

  • Payment Methods: Payments can be made via bank transfer, credit/debit card, or other methods as specified by Makeupby Kanika Dua.

  • Event Bookings: For weddings, events, or special occasions, bookings must be made at least 30 days in advance to ensure availability.

4. Travel Fees

  • Travel Charges: A travel fee will apply for locations outside of the main service area. Travel charges are calculated based on the distance from the location of Makeup by Kanika Dua’s studio.

  • Travel Fee Details: Travel fees will be communicated to you at the time of booking and will be added to the final invoice.

  • Accommodation Fees: If the location requires overnight travel or accommodation, clients will be responsible for covering accommodation costs.

5. Cancellations and Rescheduling

  • Cancellations by Client:

  • Cancellations made 15 or more days before the scheduled appointment are eligible for a full refund of the deposit.

  • Cancellations made less than 15 days before the scheduled appointment will result in no refund of the deposit.

Rescheduling by Client:

  • Rescheduling is possible up to 15 days before your appointment without any penalty, subject to availability.

  • Rescheduling within 15 days of the appointment will incur a rebooking fee of 20% of the service fee.

  • Cancellations or Changes by Makeupby Kanika Dua: In the rare event that Makeupby Kanika Dua needs to cancel or reschedule your appointment, you will be notified promptly, and you will have the option to reschedule or receive a full refund of your deposit.

6. No Shows / Late Arrivals

  • No Shows will still be charged

  • Clients arriving beyond 30 minutes of their appointmenyt time may result in reduced session time or resheduling depending on availability.

7. Health & Safety

  • Allergies & Sensitivities: Please inform Makeupby Kanika Dua of any allergies, skin conditions, or sensitivities prior to the appointment.

  • Health Concerns: If you have any concerns regarding health, skin conditions, or any other issue, please notify us prior to booking, as we may not be able to provide services if it poses a risk to your health or safety.

  • Covid-19 Policy: Clients must adhere to local health guidelines. If you are feeling unwell or have symptoms of illness, please reschedule your appointment.

8. Product Quality & Satisfaction

Product Quality: Makeup by Kanika Dua uses only high-quality, professional-grade makeup products that are hypoallergenic, cruelty-free, and suited for a variety of skin types and tones.

  • Client Satisfaction: The satisfaction of our clients is our priority. If you are not fully satisfied with the makeup application, please inform the artist during the session, and we will make adjustments to ensure you are happy with the final result.

  • Post-Appointment Feedback: Feedback is highly encouraged to ensure that we continue to provide the best service possible. If there are any issues after the service is completed, please reach out within 24 hours to address any concerns.

  • Refunds: Refunds for services are not provided once the makeup application has been completed. However, if you are unhappy with the service, please contact us immediately, and we will make every effort to resolve any issues.

9. Image Use

  • Client Photos: By booking a service, you agree that Makeupby Kanika Dua may use photos of your makeup for promotional purposes, including but not limited to social media, portfolio, and website, unless you specifically request not to share these images.

  • 9.2. Rights to Images: You retain full ownership of any personal photos taken during your appointment, but by booking, you grant Makeupby Kanika Dua a license to use any images for marketing and promotional purposes.

10. Dispute Resolution

  • In the event of a dispute, the client agrees to first attempt to resolve the matter by direct communication with Makeupby Kanika Dua. If the issue remains unresolved, legal action may be pursued, subject to the laws of the region where services are rendered.

11. Privacy Policy

  • Privacy & Security: Makeup by Kanika Dua is committed to protecting your personal information. All personal data collected during the booking process will be used only to provide services and for internal communication purposes.

  • Information Collected: The information we collect includes your name, contact details, payment information, and any other relevant data necessary to provide services to you.

  • Data Usage: Your personal information will not be sold or shared with third parties unless required by law or for processing your service requests (e.g., payment processing).

  • Client Consent: By booking a service with Makeupby Kanika Dua, you consent to the collection and use of your personal information as outlined in this privacy policy.
